When we got wage revision from 1-1-2000 as absorbed employees in bsnl ( fitting ourselves in IDA track) , those retired on or before 30-9-2000 were not given any pension revision on account of this, they continued in their 5 th CPC CDA scales only. No DOT retirees on that date demanded any pension revision also. This was because on that date there were no such ‘pre person’ comparing our revision on Oct 2000. They CG pensioners got their pension revision subsequently as per the reports of 6 th

  Rule 37 A is all about Pension and nothing to do with pension Revision… BSNL absorbed pensioners in lakhs are eagerly waiting for their pension Revision. Their last revision was done in 2007, and now 17 years have gone. One can understand their expectations, as their counterparts in CG were given pension revision in 2016 Itself as per 7 th CPC and they are all waiting for the notification of 8 th CPC. But the Govt is silent on that. The hopes of the BSNL absorbed pensioners were enhanced on obtaining a PB CAT Delhi judgement , directing the concerned authorities of GOI to do pension revision analogous to CPC of that date. So expectations were gone high and hopes were also raised that 7 th CPC implementation as per PBCAT is not only possible but should be implemented in all its sense. This September 2024 is the first anniversary of that PBCAT judgement , and now both the contempt at PBCAT and quashing the same at Delhi HC by DOT is going on as per the usual court practices. No
